· Avoiding Wage and Hour Pitfalls Class action lawsuits over wage and hour violations are on the rise in California and businesses are being hit with large judgments. This seminar is designed to provide human resources professionals, supervisors and managers with a clear understanding of state and federal wage and hour laws, including recent cases, judgments and settlements of interest. The focus of the seminar will be on how to avoid the pitfalls of wage and hour laws. This seminar will teach supervisors: · Minimum wage requirements · Proper classification of employees as exempt versus non-exempt including a discussion of minimum salary tests, inside and outside sales, professional and administrative exemptions, and computer professional exemptions.
