· Conducting Legally Sound Workplace Investigations This seminar is designed to educate the internal investigator on how to conduct a workplace investigation that will hold up in court. A properly trained unbiased investigator's conclusions will not be second-guessed by the judge or jury. However, an untrained investigator may be worse than not conducting an investigation at all.
Participants will learn how to balance the employee's complaint and the rights of the alleged accused against the employer's legal responsibility to investigate.
Participants will learn how to:
· Identify the need for an investigation · Plan for an investigation · Conduct interviews · Assess credibility · Reach a conclusion · Document the investigation · Communicate results · Identify the need for outside help
This class requires participant interaction and active role-playing. |
